There are many application areas where conventional glass fabrics do not posses adequate bulk or thickness to meet an application requirement. Consequently AS-KETEX developed a tri-dimensional bulky fabric with filling capacity and lower density than conventional glass fibre fabric. Improved flexing properties and softer feel, texturised fabric is beneficial in a wide spectrum of end uses. AS-KETEX texturised glass fibre are strong replacement for asbestos. They are much stronger physically and comparable to asbestos without any health hazards that are associated with the manufacture and use of asbestos products. Further AS-KETEX yarns are comfortable to handle without itching and discomfiture due to significantly reduced filament diameter and superior binder / overspray technology used in the manufacture of AS-KETEX products. AS-KETEX texturised glass fibre yarns can be processed into textile fabrics and gaskets by weaving , knitting or braided , they can be corded into ropes too.
Welding blankets, hot handling gloves, expansion joints, stress relieving blankets etc.
